George has been a systems programmer since graduating from college in 1973. , From 1977 and up until joining the Programmability team at Iris Associates , in 2000, he owned and managed Langlais Software Incorporated, a , software consulting firm which successfully completed hundreds of projects for , dozens of hardware and software companies in the Boston area, including several , projects for Lotus Development and Iris Associates., Since the late 80's, George has also taught on-site computer programming , courses for local companies, both privately and in conjuction with local , universities. Over the years his courses have covered beginning-level to , advanced-level training in C Programming, C++ Programming, Data Structures, , Object Oriented Design, and Visual Basic. In 1990 he was awarded the , Instructor Of The Year award in Northeastern University's State-of-the-Art , Program, Computer Science division., George received a BSEE from MIT, concentrating in digital hardware design, and , an MMS from MIT's Sloan School of Management, concentrating in operations , management. He enjoys spending time with his wife, working on home projects, , kayaking, and piloting small airplanes.
