IT Infrastructure, Communications and Operations for Global Sourcing:
Cornerpoints of e-Collaboration Environments for Global Management of Processes, Projects and Documents
Prof. Dr. Ludwig Nastansky - Dr. Pei Wang-Nastansky
Core issues of global supply chains are planning and deployment of supporting IT-systems, ranging from infrastructures to operative systems for running SCM-logistics. This virtual "e-SC" must provide efficient means for communications and collaboration among all people involved in their respective roles. It integrates on a global scale business tasks spanning from mundane daily operations up to complex strategic knowledge management endeavours for otherwise separated entities, like organizations involved in SCs, projects, documents (contracts, product descriptions, negotiated terms), schedules, delivery plans, locations, etc.. The presentation focusses on innovative process-driven e-collaboration systems effectively enabling and enacting global SCM.
Dr. Nastansky is founder and chairman of the board of PAVONE AG, a software company offering a versatile portfolio of process-centered SCM systems. He is professor of Business Information Systems at the University of Paderborn, Germany, and adjunct professor at the Sino-German School for Postgraduate Studies CDHK, Tongji University Shanghai.
