... and what they think about it:
."Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and Pavone AG are pleased to have been recognized as finalist for the 2002 Lotus Beacon Awards.
Pavone AG and CSC Ploenzke were selected for its innovative work on its Credit Knowledge House (CKH) employing Pavone's Espresso Framework, which -in
combination- was acclaimed as one of the four best new Lotus Notes applications. CKH/Espresso was created using Lotus Notes Domino and is the
process-supported information-based Credit Management system for all credit products for CSC’'s Account 3000 banking solution.
Developed at the request of Landesbank Baden Wurttemberg (LBBW), a European banking client, CKH/Espresso uses a groupware-based knowledge management approach which replaces the traditional one-time customer loan rating method in favor of a continuous approach of information gathering and reviewing cycles of customer processes involving loan applications and related financial services. The result is more rapid reaction to customer wishes, better quality in execution and decision support, better insights into market prospects and the existing customer base - thus adding up to measurably increased competitiveness and overall added value for financial institutions both on the cost as well as the revenue side of the equation.
Both partners are proud to have been recognized by the Lotus Beacon Awards for this achievement and sees this as the result of its ongoing commitment to delivering excellence to its clients through collaborative innovation with technology industry leaders. The basic underlying research for the "Credit Knowledge House" approach had been performed in conjunction with the Groupware Competence Center of the University of Paderborn during 1996-2000 (see BONITAS-Project).
